Another art/fashion story for you, YBA Steve McQueen has won the 2008 Gucci Group Award. The former Turner Prize winner was chosen as recipient of the award for Hunger, a film following the last six weeks of Provisional Irish Republican Army hunger striker, Bobby Sands. McQueen commented "I am very pleased and honoured to receive this award from the Gucci Group. And the fact that the award recognises the efforts of an artist who has broken into a different genre gives me great pleasure."
